Can you give some information as to the opening and closing dates of this first station and also to clarify how far away it was from the currently open station and whether or not it was situated on the Great North of Scotland Main Line or on the line of the Formartine and Buchan Railway.

Rule 4 clarification....

Stations that were closed and had their replacement station built in nearby proximity are NOT allowed to be used as a valid posting entry on this quiz (examples being that of the situation of the first station sites at Whifflet, Symington, Heaton, Duffield, Stourbridge Junction, Leicester Campbell Street, Blue Pits (Castleton, Manchester), Lostock Hall, Tollerton, Carnoustie and Church Stretton.

Where a doubt exists as to the knowledge of an actual distance that existed between the two station sites in such a situation, it is hereby decreed that it is better to err on the side of caution and NOT to use it as a posting submission
