We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 683 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Fort Augustus Pier
It follows the line of the Invergarry and Fort Augustus Railway
It then follows the line of the West Highland Railway
It then follows the line of the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway...via the Ratho loop line
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Hawick Railway....note some 1st stations
It then follows the line of the Border Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway
It then follows the line of the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway
It then follows the line of the Whitehaven, Cleator and Egremont Railway...via Eskett
It then follows the line of the Cleator and Workington Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the M&CR Derwent Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Maryport and Carlisle Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Arkleby

The first closed station on this journey is Fort Augustus Pier

That last named station is one that I cannot trace any information upon....and it appears that RAILSCOT also makes no mention of it. However, to continue.....

Invergarry

Whatever are the two of us doing up and about and making postings at this unearthly hour......o_O:oops:
