Following Megabus Twitter today, they have terminated several services short of destination, notably a London to Edinburgh service which only made it to Newcastle. Several to Cardiff have been halted at Bristol.

Wondering if there is a legal liability to get passengers to their destination as with rail travel ?

I don't think so.

Depends on Contract Law, but I suspect operators specifically exclude causes outside their control.

Remember its SCOTSLAW megabus works under on Cross boundary routes. There might allow them to travel on a different jounrey going by below? but again it would be unclear when that would be, or your end up like yesterday on the M80 where coaches were sat for nearly 20 hours
