This is more for information and putting it in one place rather than the various threads on the IETs spread across RUKF.
The plan is to introduce the first 802s on 20th august 2018 and the following information is from non-sensitive internal memos which may be useful to some.
Acceptance dates:
802003 and 005 15 aug
006 and 007 17 aug
003 and 005 req to be at Laira Depot (LA) for start of service 20 aug; these sets are due to me moved from Stoke Gifford eve of 15 or am of 16 aug
17 aug one of these to go to Penzance for depot clearance and depot staff training then to headback to LA via Exeter for a low key launch event
006 and 007 req to be at North Pole for start of service 20 aug
consideration of putting 006/007 together on a 800 diagram on sat finishing at North Pole as a positioning move
plans are to run all 6 5car sets until next two are accepted on 29 aug with 9car 101 acting as spare with 001 and 002 as last minute standby subject to training requirements
Of course, this may all be subject to a butterfly in a distant jungle flapping its wings .....!!!
