I suspect not - given the way the production line, sorry - assembly line - will be scheduled any unit requiring extensive repairs would probably have to wait for a slot in the facility after the main production has been completed otherwise it would impact on deliveries of new units.
Do we even know if the modifications to remove some seats and replace them with luggage stacks are to be done at depots as soon as possible or Newton Aycliffe after the production run has finished?
If the latter, then there would be a possibility that this may be the first unit modified; if the former then it'll probably be one of the last to be done.

It's not out of the question, depends on how the schedule is organised.
I believe they're slightly redesigning the bike racks also.

Saying that after the LNER order is finished, Won't Hitachi start work on EMR's 804s? Therefore is there even room at Newton Aycliffe for repair/modification work?
