Duns: a Scottish town, former county town of Berwickshire, and home to the Jim Clark Museum. Ton: slang for a hundred, and especially 100 mph (as in 'ton up boys'). The footballer from Dunston (a district of Gateshead) is Paul 'Gazza' Gascoigne.
