With Season Tickets on TOCs that run the 'Delay Repay' scheme I know you get pro-rata compensation based both, on the length of delay, and the price of the season ticket divided by a nominal number of single journeys that the Season Ticket covers.

But what happens if you cannot travel because of major disruption? For example today into or out of Kings Cross or Paddington. A holder of a non-Season Ticket can get a full refund. Is it just tough luck if you are a Season Ticket holder? There's no journey that has been delayed, because one couldn't be made, but the railways have still failed to provide their side of the contract to a Season Ticket holder.

G'day

What about Britrail 1 month consecutive?
Are these eligible for delay repay and are RTV's issued to a named person or can you give them to a friend or relative?

Going to do 1 month consecutive from May3-May29 in 2015

Cheers

Don't know if these qualify for delay repay however if they do, TOCs will probably try and get out of paying! I'm in an ongoing battle with northern and passenger focus as they wouldn't pay on a 7 day rover.

Back on topic..
RTVs are not issued to a named person, they just have the reference number for the claim, issuing TOC and expiry date.(1 year after issue)

Don't know whether they are but I have never been refused.

I don't think RTVs are transferable but no one'll bat an eyelid if you give it to a family member.

The day might be declared a void day for season ticket holders entitling them to one additional free day on their next renewal.

TOCs on Delay Repay no longer declare void days. Great Western still work to the old "Passenger's Charter" rules, however.
