I think most of the 12e trips are tenders? So the evening and Sunday trips? Not sure what funding is used, the evening ones seem to be based around serving Fradley Park, and Sundays possibly with bsip money?
The 1 registration has appeared in bustimes.org now. Also listed as cancelled from the end of may is the 11, 125 and 129.Only info I can find is the 1 being cancelled from 24th May. I can't see anything relating to the 12/12E changing but the 805/806 school runs are moving operator and being renumbered 12A/12B.

Unless Diamond have decided to hand back the tenders for the 125/129 as the 125 in particular has a lot of dead running Burton to Coalville.

It could be, 125 shows as cancelled too.
Diamond website states that route 1 and 12E will not be operated by them from mid May, but by another operator. They refer people to the Staffordshire Council website for further details.

LCC have given early notice on and retendered almost all the supported services in the county so no reason not to assume that they haven't done so here or, given they were only recently extended, that the reported extension was only to get them to the planned date for the wider retendering of 1st June. The replacements for the 125 & 129 were in the last tender round mostly covering western Leicestershire, winning operators were probably informed this week but final details will remain to be sorted so details will appear in the next few weeks.

I wonder when we will see those Custom Denning buses in service with Diamond Bus EM?
With a date of 17th May yet the registration has 24th and no mention of the 11.
I did see a picture of one at the depot a couple of months back. Apparently the Scania's are for sale so can't be far off.
1 is going to be run by South Derbyshire Coaches

How many are they now getting now. Article dated April 2025 on Staffordshire Council page suggests electric buses will now also be used on x12 and the 2, not just 8 and 9 as originally planned.

The first four (one for Tividale (WM), three for Stanwell (SE)) had to go through Individual Vehicle Approval and may still be waiting on DVLA registration. Burton's batch will be subject to the same process so it may be a while.
6 through the original ZEBRA 2 tranche, 8 through the top-up. So 14 in all (or 15, depending on who the ninth Staffordshire top-up bus is for).

Someone's comment on a post by Arriva Midlands on Facebook suggests that Arriva are taking over the 7 (Stagecoach) and the 125 and 129 from the 30th of May. Don't know how true it is as I've yet to see any new service registrations on Bustimes, but best keep my eyes peeled!The 1 registration has appeared in bustimes.org now. To be honest, I've been hearing quite a few rumours lately about bus service changes in the area, some of which I've yet to turn up any more evidence beyond the initial comment that I found them in!

Streetdeck 40840 appears to now be at Preston Bus. Presumably been made spare from the reduction in school duties.
Also the electrics may not be far off. The first of the batch for Diamond South East has just entered service with fleet number 39004.

One of the problems with rare buses. Easier for a buy to run an Environ200, where one would hope spares are cheaper and more plentiful.

Arriva LC12 Loughborough-Shepshed-Belton-Ashby commences tomorrow 2 Jun. Route is unchanged from Diamond's 129 but timings slightly adjusted. Diamond 125 Castle Donington - Coalville - Stanton under Bardon - Leicester continues unchanged for the next 6 weeks. As from 14 July it will be cease running. Arriva LC15 will replace it over the Coalville - Leicester section with an improved 2 hour frequency - every 2 hours 0700-2000.

Hopefully arriva decide to use the LC15 to its full advantage over the summer holidays and promote the connections to Bradgate Park for families.
Looking at the timetable it seems to be a 1 bus all day service.
