Dronfield to Basingstoke 22 June.

Looking to travel from Dronfield to Basingstoke and return on 22 June. Two adults, one with a Senior railcard.

Need to arrive before Noon, return late afternoon.

Best I can find is 07:13 0ut, 16:18 Return @ £26 Advance each way for the non discounted fare.

Any better suggestions?

Are those trains suitable for you?

Dronfield - Derby £10.80 CDR
Nottingham (valid from Derby) - Leamington Spa £23 CDR
Leamington Spa - Banbury £7.80 CDR
Banbury - Basingstoke £15 CDR

Total
£57.60, but flexible.

Have you tried splitting Advances? Derby, Birmingham or Coventry and Banbury are usually good split points to try for cheaper XC Advance prices.
