I wondered if it might be possible to convert some unused DVTs for use with RHTTs? I'm not sure how much it would cost to convert the DVTs to work with 66s, or how feasible it would be to add the wiring needed to the wagons, and presumably it would be hard to justify the cost for a type of train that's only used for a few months each year. However, it would also save fuel and loco maintenance by not having an extra loco idling at all times, plus a little bit less track wear since a DVT would be lighter than a second 66. Is there any way that this could be feasible?
Short Little Freight Train Spotted today
