Hi,
So i'm booking my train Glasgow - London.
Travelling on EastCoast I could* use my East Coast points.
I have 249, a single ticket is 250 points.

Anyone know the easiest way for me to make up this one point?

As I understand it, there is a minimum spend of £22 to be eligible to earn points for your journey - except for certain EC advance tickets. Im thinking I buy the cheapest throw away ticket which is eligible and still save myself about £35...
any advice as to which is the cheapest ticket I can buy and still earn points??

If all EC&Connections Advances are eligible (which I can't be certain of) then you can get ones for like £3 Child on flows like Edinburgh-Arbroath a few weeks in the future.

I can't see anything that actually specifies what tickets qualify if they are less than £22.

With the exception of some East Coast tickets,
with the exception of certain East Coast train tickets which have no minimum spend. Please see full terms and conditions.
and the full terms and conditions say....
you will only earn Points if the specific Products you have bought qualify for Points irrespective of the overall amount paid in the transaction, as specified by East Coast from time to time.
The refer-a-friend scheme only requires your 'friend' to spend £5.

From the East Coast website : Home > Rewards > Terms and Conditions
5. Points earned through ‘Refer a Friend’
5.1 Members can earn extra Points for referring a friend to the Scheme. The referred friend must not already be a Member of the Scheme and they must meet the eligibility criteria.
5.2 Members will be credited with 40 Points in their Scheme account once the referred friend has registered for the Scheme and placed an order on the Website over £5 in total transaction value.
5.3 It is your responsibility to ensure that, when referring a friend, your friend is happy to receive communications from us (by post or by email) about them joining the Scheme.

Thank you, got that now.

So, how do you actually refer someone? Is there a form, an email address......?

Again, it doesnt show up in the search on the eastcoast site that I can see - I'm not just asking peopole to do the work for me! so thank you again.....
