The grease gun for applying grease to the wheel skate broke, with no spare available.Looks to be stopped just after Corby according to RTT and Tracksy has it in the run round loop at Corby.

This is just calamity after calamity isn't it...The grease gun for applying grease to the wheel skate broke, with no spare available.
That'll be something for the RAIB to get it's teath intoThe grease gun for applying grease to the wheel skate broke, with no spare available.

I detected an element of sarcasm in the comment tbh, thought it was quite funnyWhy would the RAIB be interested in that?
Some serious queuing to get into Derby 1F07 was around eight late in . Checked down well before SpondonIt's a caused a riot this morning but is now back at Derby.
From what I can see on RTT:Some serious queuing to get into Derby 1F07 was around eight late in . Checked down well before Spondon
It is the same one, it’s gone to get a new driveshaftOn Friday I passed a driving vehicle of an EMR class 180 on the back of a low loader on the M62 going westbound, east of Leeds. Not sure if it's related to this particular unit but does anyone know which of the four EMR units it was and where it was going? I was driving the other way so couldn't see a unit number.

Hope so! I like the 180's (when they're working), they're comfy and quickI presume the new driveshaft and final drive has now been fitted as the offending vehicle returned to Etches Pk on a low loader this afternoon.
I like em too. They're an absolute pleasure to drive and, speaking personally, have had very few problems with them.Hope so! I like the 180's (when they're working), they're comfy and quick
Good to hear they're good to drive as well as be a passenger on. Having read about their various reliablility woes i travelled on one the other week, and it was a genuine pleasureI like em too. They're an absolute pleasure to drive and, speaking personally, have had very few problems with them.
Yes I like them. I had 180111 on Fri on the 17.35 St Pan to Nott from Kettering. Great acceleration and generally nice ambience. I believe 4 car 180110 was out too so 2 out of 3 serviceable sets out, better availability than the 360s.... I see (or hear) a 180 every weekday morning on the 06.35 St Pancras to Nott leaving Kettering.Good to hear they're good to drive as well as be a passenger on. Agreed - in a way I was sad to see them go from Hull Trains, as when they were working properly they were great trains as a passengerCertainly cracking units to travel on as a passenger. I don’t think I’ve experienced a more comfortable train anywhere on the network.
To be replaced by units that hopefully aren’t cracking…Certainly cracking units to travel on as a passenger. I don’t think I’ve experienced a more comfortable train anywhere on the network.
Every single one seems to have ultra squeaky brakes and the engines drown out the 222. Or do I keep seeing the same one.Certainly cracking units to travel on as a passenger. I don’t think I’ve experienced a more comfortable train anywhere on the network.
The squeal from the brakes is due to the pads, each of which is composed of 18 big copper nuts. This prevents a build up of glazing which inhibits braking performance on units with normal pads. It sounds horrendous, but gives a great braking performance.Every single one seems to have ultra squeaky brakes and the engines drown out the 222. Or do I keep seeing the same one.

Horrendous is an understatement. I literally cringe every time I hear one.Yes. That was a poor choice of words given the class 800’s current woes!
The brakes do sound horrendous. Like someone scratching their nails down a blackboard. There’s usually at least two of them broken at any one time so often a 50/50 chance of seeing the same one!
Not sure if I have seen one. I just see 180's quite a lotI've noticed 195's are pretty squealy too, so not just a 180 thing.
