Agreed, especially with the way it was worded. Not sure we needed a text message telling us they were on a lunch break….. I’m sure most people would have been happy with one message at the end of the day with an update.
The rail industry is more complicated than the NHS.
For a start, the government isn't the employer, TOCs are.
There are also many different employment contracts, not just one size fits all.
I'd expect there will be a relatively generous pay offer, but with some productivity strings.
The comparison was with the rapid offer in the junior doctors' dispute.Don't think so. Doctors surgeries are run as independent businesses that happen to receive (insufficient) funding. There are 100s of these; there are not 100s of TOCS.

Considering these meetings seem to be bi-weekly, a temporary adjournment probably means back next week. Not sure we needed a text message telling us they were on a lunch break….. I’m sure most people would have been happy with one message at the end of the day with an update.
Let’s hope an email is sent out later today with more details about what was discussed.
Absolutely… wait out for Union comms.
No point speculating until we have the facts.
Tuesday sure does seem a LONG way away now![]()
As long away as today seemed when they said last week that there would be an offer "next Wednesday"Absolutely… wait out for Union comms.

Who informed you of that? I hope that’s true.Still should be getting an offer later today as I understand it. Patience needed....
It has been a long few weeks since Louise Haigh promised to sort this. But a positive start and things seemingly appear to be moving, even if it’s apparently stagnated today. As long away as today seemed when they said last week that there would be an offer "next Wednesday"
Been a long few weeks but there's been more positives signs in those few weeks than there has been in the last few months/years. I'd suggest hanging on and hoping for the best before throwing arms in the air personally and calling it all over!It has been a long few weeks since Louise Haigh promised to sort this. Aslef. I reckon we will be hearing something teatime......Who informed you of that? I hope that’s true.
Louder for the people at the back!Been a long few weeks but there's been more positives signs in those few weeks than there has been in the last few months/years. I'd suggest hanging on and hoping for the best before throwing arms in the air personally and calling it all over!
I’m not sure if that is going to be the case especially if they have adjourned, does anyone actually know what’s happening in the meeting?Who informed you of that? I hope that’s true.
Assuming it is compounded it's a fraction under 15%.So will that be 14.25% of what we are on now or 5 of what we were on in 2022...4.75 of 2023 etc?
And with the backpay for 3 years as well. I am happy with this deal.Assuming it is compounded it's a fraction under 15%.
Expect it to be 5 then 4.75 then 4.5 to make it fully back datedSo will that be 14.25% of what we are on now or 5 of what we were on in 2022...4.75 of 2023 etc?
