Don't think so. Doctors surgeries are run as independent businesses that happen to receive (insufficient) funding. There are 100s of these; there are not 100s of TOCS.

The comparison was with the rapid offer in the junior doctors' dispute.
I think they are more likely to be on direct NHS government-set contracts (happy to be corrected).
That dispute is also arguably more socially disruptive then the ASLEF dispute.

"Junior doctors" (a misnomer; it's anyone who's not a consultant) don't work in GP surgeries, they work in hospitals and are directly employed by the NHS trusts.
Dealing with the GP pay issue is likely to be more complicated than even the railway because each surgery or group thereof is an independent business.
Considering these meetings seem to be bi-weekly, a temporary adjournment probably means back next week.
RMT expecting offer to consider on the 20th so I reckon will be the same for ASLEF.

RMT expecting an offer on 22nd August with regards Network Rail Signallers, Maintenance and Control, more talks that have gone on, and on, and on.
Absolutely… wait out for Union comms.
No point speculating until we have the facts.

Who informed you of that? I hope that’s true.
It has been a long few weeks since Louise Haigh promised to sort this. But a positive start and things seemingly appear to be moving, even if it’s apparently stagnated today.
I’m hoping that they’re just exploring every option, and that ASLEF are actually helping the DfT with a solution, rather than the stalemate due to weaponised incompetence displayed by the previous governmental administration.
Been a long few weeks but there's been more positives signs in those few weeks than there has been in the last few months/years. I'd suggest hanging on and hoping for the best before throwing arms in the air personally and calling it all over!
