Hopefully? You're about 6 months behind the rest of us ...

It's not a shame to see the slammers go - I still go on them nearly every week!

yes i do believe there are quite a few different paxman engines one various ships, and i suppose we will have this guy waving flags at them when they get replaced.. lol

He would probably be digusted with it, but hes a train man, not a naval fan.

6 months, well im a part time fan, i do other stuff as well and am still learning about things.

Bognor Regis never has the slammers near it anymore, but then again your probably near Brokenhurst.

PS - I am not like Matt at all, i see Southampton FC play, and i go out alot with mates that are not chavs.

Well i hope that the problems with the last meet can be sorted, and hopefully bring an end to this debate.

Im not here to argue the point, im here as an enthusiast willing to learn from people, and cause of that many people have shook my hand about it.

Im hoping that it could happen here too.

well it would be better not to have arguements, but really jumping about/swearing/waving flags/being anti-social is a very immature thing to do just becuse a train has a different engine to what you want. if this guy is so bothered about it, why doesnt he go and pay for a new paxman valenta engine to be designed, manufactured and fitted into every single power car, instead of doing silly little stunts that get him nowere, and people on here and elsewere having a go at him for looking like a mother ****ing idiot

-end of speech-

You maybe hardcore enthusiasts but the rules of the station about no yellow line means ppl have to judge the line themselves.
.

And most people don't judge the line as right next to the edge!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
This will be a good opportunity to see what Valeg is about and that they are not "chavs"

They ARE like you and make themselves known of what they support.

If the meets are growing, then its obvious that there is something for every enthusiast to experience with them.

But why would people want to after seeing the video?

Thats one meet, i am surprised by the replys that some people have made.

Then theres some repeating themselves and not reading.

One meet? And?

People judge politicians on one thing normally ... I can't remember the name of him but there is one MP who was Welsh minister and didn't bother to learn the Welsh national anthem.

An old wise person said to me not to judge people for who they are, but to embrace and accept who they are!

And dont say chavs either, cause i dont see one burberry cap or clothing whatsoever.

1.I understand common sense point made. and yes fast trains? that would surely say to FGW about improvements need to be made!

2.Yes the behaviour was unusual for this meet, i dont believe the mistake will be made again since the next meet is a station that has a yellow line and is also a station that has been done once before.

3.I would seriously say to people on this forum that are angry over the video's done, i can only apologise and say that we are not chavs at all, and is something that makes Valeg members very unhappy about!

4.I occasionaly do vids alone not with valeg as sometimes i require the enviroment of the station within my vids. And for that i go alone.

5.Rejecting other enthusiasts will only make you look bad and judgemental, your opinion of valeg members that went to the meet as chavs is unacceptable! I expect an aplogy here for this will keep on trying to bridge with other enthusaists to create a truce.

6.Paving slabs to me, in honesty, mean nothing as to any normal person, paving slabs are something we walk on without any info of danger or a warning.

7.Your words on the 80cm from edge of platform will be taken note and thankyou for that advice.
1. There is no rule about having a yellow line, and to be quite frank, HST enthusiasts should have a better idea than most about fast trains!
2. It wasn't a mistake. Did someone accidently go off the end of the platform
3. And it makes us unhappy to see people represtenting enthusiasts in the way Valeg did
4. Personally I would of just left the group, if they were acting in such a iresposible way
5. Judgemental it could well be, but we didn't see ANY good points about VALEG in the vid did we?
6. Ok, do you have a yellow line at your local station. If not, do you stand right next to the edge of the platform?
7. Surley it was commen Sence

Lol i have to give to to ya, you make me laugh!

I have been causing grief for chavs for a long time.

Maybe i should invite you over to see the mental head campus and the reason why we hate chavs?

Totally free admission, and you may just learn something!

i agree with jim there... only time i go near to the edge is to see whats coming at some stations, though checking first there is no trains coming...

and if you are into HST's you should know the effects of turbulence that they make.. too close and they will pull you off the platform;)

HSTEG failed (but was pretty much reborn without him) - he has petty arguments about Valentas and MTUs. MTUs are quite honestly the way forward.

And the respectable members of HSTEG have moved on and built up a quite succesfull forum without Deltic Matt's co. IMO

I would hope that in your meet next week you and your friends will take notice of NR's Guidelines for Rail Enthusiasts, something which you obviously didn't do last time (Two points which are immediately obvious are You should ensure you act safely and sensibly at all times and Stay clear of the platform edge ). You do not need a yellow line to adhere to either of those, and you appear to have used the lack of one as an excuse to justify the behaviour of your group.

One point.

I love 442s. I worshipped them - I was disgusted by the 444 introduction on the Bournemouth line.

I didn't go around swearing at the replacements and recording it on video though did I? Sure, I don't like them - but I won't lower myself to that ....

And I don't remember you acting like a total idiot on the final days/weeks/months either!
