Voting has just closed, though if you're in a queue to vote then you'll still be able to.

Early declarations looking likely from Newcastle and Swindon. People think that Brexit is likely to prevail closely in the latter. Not sure about Newcastle.

The final result will come be announced at Manchester Town Hall.

I'm rather disappointed that they've got Jeremy Vine reusing basically the same graphics as he used for the General Election. They could've pushed the boat out!

My strategy is to get a few hours kip before getting up super early just before the substantive results start coming in and we get an idea of what way it's going. Knowing baby crehld's track record, I'll be up in the wee hours anyway, and it's highly likely I'll get called into work asking me to be on hand to give interviews on local radio.

It will be Dimbleby et al for me too, but hopefully going to bed for the first chunk of it will mean I miss all the boring repetitive nonsense they're forced to blither on about before anything interesting is announced.

If I can't sleep I have beer in the fridge!

I'll be following my usual tactic when I've got to go to work the next day for this sort of thing and I'll stay up until the first few are announced and then go to bed but leave coverage on quietly in the background. This will occasionally wake me up and let me keep an eye on things from the comfort of my bed. Works like a charm

At least Dimbleby is back - the Welsh Apprentice has been sidelined for this one.

You just can't beat the gravitas he provides to any Political Show gained over 40 years plus of Broadcasting.

No official exit poll of course but YouGov have it as Remain 52% and Leave 48%...

I don't think he is, he's just facing reality. Remain has won.

Absolutely, and Jeremy Vine is a very poor substitute for Peter Snow. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but why have an imitator?

Certainly looking good. Let's hope for a 60% remain vote

On the other hand a nice tasty slice of fruit cake...

I expect remain will outperform the 52-48 prediction due to the shy voter effect, but I'm not fully certain.

Well I had a shower and got ready for bed, but that beer was just too tempting. Currently tuned into BBC1.

To make sure I was fighting fit for this, I was off today and will be off tomorrow (I love politics, in fact I have a Grade B O Level in it !).

I will *try* to stay up all night and watch the coverage on BBC1 or listen to it on radio 5 Live when I am using my PC.

    I voted REMAIN.

Just seen an advert for Bremain on the top of the forum page. A bit late now...!

The aftermath of this remain victory will be interesting.

By taking the selfish I'm all right Jack decision to stay, the well-off have screwed over low-waged workers. Those living on the breadline are entitled to feel angry about that.

I wouldn't blame them if they choose to burn this country down to the ground.

Is there anybody in Britain who doesn't think that remain will win?

Nah, we've voted to leave. Although I would definitely prefer Bremain, you could tell by IDS' body language (and Nicky Morgan's, though she always looks like a supply teacher caught in a tornado) that there's been a Leave vote. This is strengthened still by Farage's false conceding - it makes it look more astonishing when Brexit win.

I, personally, don't know. It's far to early to tell. Those that claim to know probably don't.

If I've kept up to speed with it, Farage has since reconceded and has un-reconceded. How many times will he have changed his mind by the final declaration?
