We can see that the markets are reacting wildly to the results. They picked up massively at 2200 with the 52/48 but after these close results, it's tanked

For those who want to watch along live (GPB vs USD), here is a live tracker. Time is Eastern time (-5 hours)

This isn't going well. Think we could well be watching the start of the dismantling of the United Kingdom.

I think people need to calm down a bit. There have been 5 declarations, and only a small difference between the 2 sides. We knew it was going to be close, but writing it off based on the results of 2 constituencies is a bit daft.

Given the result in Sunderland I'm afraid to say that it will be a Brexit. I can't say I'm surprised though; Labour have not done enough to tackle immigration fears in my opinion.

Scottish MPs are spinning the independence line.

Everyone has it in for Polish people though.

70/30 leave rumours in North Warwick. Generally leave looks to have done a lot better than expected.

If it's a thumping defeat - will Cameron walk?

He's getting a lot of support from his own euroscepetic MPs, so I doubt it. Here comes Swindon

edit: ~10,000 in leaves favour. About what the bbc were expecting

edit2: 66%/34% in Broxbourne for leave

That Swindon result looks OK. Wonder how many remain votes are lost with London commuters trying to get home? 10pm seems a ridiculously early closing time for the polls...it's not the first time voters have missed out. Should we have 11pm closing? Sunday voting??
Another day's argument!

The euro skeptics need Cameron to take the blame.

If I were him I'd do the article 50 thing next week and then resign, retiring abroad.

Kettering votes out. I'm not liking this but I need to remain positive.

Another planet...

An exit will be difficult in terms of how the government will look based on what happens with the economy. Perhaps Boris and Pob would rather Dave takes that hit...

If we Leave then Cameron and Osbourne must walk. We can't have them negotiating new deals for the UK with such a negative view of how well the UK can do outside the EU. I wouldn't be surprised if they purposely screwed us over just so they can say "We told you so".

All negotiations need to be done by Politicians who have confidence in the UK who will negotiate favourable agreements for UK tax payers.

It must be remembered that we haven't really come to any really pro-EU areas. When it gets to London, the results should change rapidly.

What's happening in Wales indicates how ridiculous the electorate are - talk about turkeys voting for christmas....

The biggest UK beneficiaries of the EU are voting to leave <D

And now with a brighter outlook for leave, not only have the bookies gone to leave as a favourite, but GBP is plummeting. It's fallen below the Sunderland spike and isn't looking to slow either

Indeed, I'm looking forward to the results for Mid-west Wales (Powys and Gwynedd)
