Euston-Crewe/Stoke Virgin S/off peak rtn £39

Virgin have brought back the superoff peak (virgin only)ticket,to Crewe or Stoke on Trent/London Euston, to stop London Midland getting the £££.
on sale for £19.50 if booked as a half return with an advance, £38 single, or £39 return. if you can comply with the restrictions, a good way to save money to get to/ from Manchester. (its £13.10 OP return SOT/MAN)

It isn't allowed to be permanent as VT set the main fare.

I'd guess it's a summer holiday offer to fill otherwise quiet Pendolinos.

It may well be targeted at discretionary leisure passengers, but Virgin will currently sell me the ticket for outward travel until Friday 28 October.

I queried this with Virgin over Twitter. They believe it'll still be available at the end of Sep, and noting John @ home's reply above, it'll likely be available in October too.
