Let's see if they keep them that way. As in cleaned up. I suspect not but at least they made something like an effort
Unfortunately institutions in this country seem to have gone the way of pre-1989 Eastern Europe - lots of trumpeting of a new build / refurbishment / refresh (which admittedly usually looks better than the Iron Curtain variety) but no money/ time / priority allocated to the day to day care of whatever it is because that doesn’t attract any publicity (or the attention of senior officials). I hope to be proved wrong!Let's see if they keep them that way. As in cleaned up. I suspect not but at least they made something like an effort
I think there are two issues, there is only one set of toilets at Euston (as far as I am aware) where as other stations often have two sets at least so the usage is spread. Secondly they are not protected by barriers or pay styles and a bit out of the way so unfortunately opens them up for misuse.Let's see if they keep them that way. As in cleaned up. That seems pretty much standard on all toilets anywhere that have those - reach out for the paper and the flush goes. Ban them!poor placement of the flush sensors which makes them flush while seated
The key improvement that was needed in my view was an expansion of the ladies'The toilets at Euston have been 'refreshed'.
New partitions and cubicle doors
New toilet seats
New hand driers
New mirrors and a lick of paint
A deep clean
What hasn't changed is the toilet bowls, sinks, taps and urinals although they've been cleaned up.
An improvement although given the state they were in that's not exactly difficult.
The screen was showing % occupied this morning for the men'sNo expansion of the ladies, I’m afraid.
I do agree that there needs to be additional toilet provision, especially for ladies.
The other thing they’ve added is the red/green indicator lights so you can see when a cubicle is occupied and they’ve installed a screen at the entrance which will show how many cubicles are in use but that hasn’t been commissioned yet.
I sometimes have to.. ahem.. pas through Euston on the way to work.Misuse is I think the main issue (aside from inadequate ventilation and the poor placement of the flush sensors which makes them flush while seated). They were never as bad when you had to pay.
