So there’s only one Premier set to make to to Swansea per day, none leave in passenger service currently?Yes, I remember; I was the one who reported it on here as I watched it pull out empty!
From Monday 14th, the South Wales services from Manchester are booked to look like this, I believe:
0630 Cardiff Central (67+MK4)
0730 Carmarthen via Cardiff Central (15x or 175)
0830 Cardiff Central (67+MK4)
0930 Carmarthen via Cardiff Central (15x or 175)
1030 Cardiff Central (67+MK4)
1130 Carmarthen via Cardiff Central (15x or 175)
1230 Cardiff Central (67+MK4)
1330 Tenby via Cardiff Central (15x or 175)
1430 Cardiff Central (67+MK4)
1530 Carmarthen via Cardiff Central (15x or 175)
1630 Swansea via Cardiff Central (67+MK4)
1730 Cardiff Central (15x or 175)
1830 Cardiff Central (67+MK4)
1930 Cardiff Central (197)
2030 Cardiff Central (197)
But I believe the 0830 will most often be a Sprinter at present, as although it’s a MK4 service on paper I don’t believe enough sets are available at the moment.
Edit:
197001 will cover for an unavailable MK4 set on the full diagram starting 5am Holyhead Cardiff, which means it will then work to Manchester on the 1050. It will therefore be the first 197 on Cardiff Manchester.
The BOOKED 197s to Manchester (1550) look set to be swapped at late notice now, because they form from the 1030 Holyhead to Cardiff, which will terminate short at Chester today.
At the moment yes, eventually there'll be one departure in the morning and one arrival in the evening. So there’s only one Premier set to make to to Swansea per day, none leave in passenger service currently?
Afternoon
Will this be a 67 please? - with it starting at Chester.

No, the plans in post #3027 are still correct so it was pre-planned earlier in the week for it to be a unit. As still will be 1V91/1W57/1V46/1W65 tomorrow and 1V33/1W19/1V50 on Thursday.Afternoon

4 rakes should be back on Friday when HD01s exam is complete.
Thank you.Showing as 197112 at the moment.
Currently 0 sets out at the moment. HD05 booked on 1W19/1V50 and potentially HD07 on 1W65 if its sorted by then67022/HD07 issues at Cardiff with 1W57.
Swapped out for 197018 vice.
It had brake release issues, Looks like it's something that's not resolvable in a day. Showing as next out on Monday on either 1W55 (08:49 from Cardiff) or 1W23 (16:49 from Cardiff) now.Any update on the permanently cursed 67022 on tonight’s 1W65 please?
MorningSaturday down the coast..
67012-HD01 for 1V95 and 67015-HD02 on 1W96
I believe now 1W96 will run unit rather than 67 and 1W23 67 rather than unit If possible to avoid ending up with 2 sets in Holyhead for Monday morning.Morning
1V95 has been cancelled due to a problem with the train crew.
Dave
Thanks for the update sdI believe now 1W96 will run unit rather than 67 and 1W23 67 rather than unit If possible to avoid ending up with 2 sets in Holyhead for Monday morning.
I got stuck behind 82206 on a low loader heading east on the M4 through Port Talbot on Friday morningIt had brake release issues, Looks like it's something that's not resolvable in a day. Showing as next out on Monday on either 1W55 (08:49 from Cardiff) or 1W23 (16:49 from Cardiff) now.
Means only 3 diagrams max will run tomorrow now too using HD01 (67012) HD02 (67015) and HD05 (67014).
EDIT: A late change of plan and HD07 was reinstated onto W65 departing late but after a loco swap with 67025 going on. 022 has been left at Canton.
There's now an amended plan for tomorrow. Unusually there is now booked a North Wales Saturday run with 1W96 17:23 Cardiff to Holyhead running as a mk4 rather than 1W23 16:49 Manchester
In other Mk4 news, the donor SV, TOE and DVT at Landore have all been moved by road to Sims at Newport for scrapping.
Which route is 1W23?I believe now 1W96 will run unit rather than 67 and 1W23 67 rather than unit If possible to avoid ending up with 2 sets in Holyhead for Monday morning.
16:49 Cardiff to ManchesterW
Which route is 1W23?
No competent driver available between Chester and ShrewsburyMorning

Dave
On paper it's still a 67015+HD02 but I'd be amazed if it actually runs as a 67 as it will leave 2 sets up in Holyhead and leave Crewe short for both Sunday and Monday starts.Afternoon
Is 1W96 going to be a unit or a 67 please?
On RTT as 67015 at the moment....
Dave
Yes. That is what i thought. On paper it's still a 67015+HD02 but I'd be amazed if it actually runs as a 67 as it will leave 2 sets up in Holyhead and leave Crewe short for both Sunday and Monday starts.
Now swapped so 67015 now booked the 16:50 Manchester and the 2 153s which were down for the Manchester are now allocated to the HolyheadYes. That is what i thought.
Dave
Thanks for the update. Now swapped so 67015 now booked the 16:50 Manchester and the 2 153s which were down for the Manchester are now allocated to the Holyhead
Hopefully next week is a bit more predictable after all the chopping and changing this week!
Not a set no. Just some 'donor' coaches which were only ever bought for spares. Thanks for the update.
Did i see that one of the sets has gone to Newport for scrap?
Dave
Ah. Okay. Not a set no. Just some 'donor' coaches which were only ever bought for spares.
No, whoever is sitting in an office at NR doing the allocations has most likely forgot to de-allocate 67015Ah. Okay.
Evening
I am confused now...
RTT have this allocated to 2 153s and 67015....is that actually correct?

Dave
Likely to be the 2 153s the 67s can't work with a 153 to My knowledge. Also the 67 drivers would sign a 153 but most don't sign a 67 so would be more taxing with crew.Ah. Okay.
