I find it annoying that FG announce timetable changes to all these services but don’t print the new timetables at same time. We are left to wonder if our journeys are changing. I use 241/242 regularly and it would be good to know what’s changing.
Do First Glasgow even print timetables or provide PDFs of them?

Last time I looked it was just a generated timetable.

Had a look on Traveline Scotland website. Seems AI timetables with random times have reached the Lanarkshire locals with this change in June.

Morning. As a new user of Bustimes.org I'm really enjoying the app. I'm sure it's been asked before but what is the reason First Aberdeen and First GG are not showing up when other First Group buses in England are showing?
I'm assuming that they are using different ticket machines that don't send the same data as others? Well, that's my guess anyway!

In simple terms, the data isn't a requirement in Scotland (unlike England), so First choose not to provide it to the same extent.

Perhaps I have been looking in the wrong place on the First Glasgow website, but I am unable to find any mention of the proposed changes to some Lanarkshire services effective from 15 June. Also, I am surprised that on the Blantyre based vehicles I have travelled on recently, there are no posters advertising the changes. Are they still taking place or have I got it wrong ?

As helpfully mentioned to me upthread by KrisEK details of the new timetables are on the Traveline Scotland website.

The writing has been on the wall for some time - indeed I watched the crossing a few weeks ago and of the 4 journeys over 2 hours, nobody used it. This is a far cry from the ’real’ Renfrew Ferry which, like the Erskine Ferry further down river was capable on taking cars and was hauled across by chains to the ramp on each bank.

This closure again ends the public access to a water crossing of the Clyde, but the addition of bridges at Erskine, Renfrew, Govan, Kingston (x2) as well as the tunnel has ensured the links remain.
