I spent this morning at Newquay watching the “Boardmasters” shuttle buses in action.
First Kernow supplemented by A2B Newquay are operating the services between Newquay town centre and Watergate Bay.

First buses seen on these duties this morning were:-

33031, 33380*, 33112, 32097, 33381*, 33382*, 32761, 33379*, 33235, 34311, 32873, 32757,32759, 33052, 33378*, 32883, 30879 & 32861.

One’s marked with a * are loans from Buses of Somerset.

An unusual visitor to Camborne garage yesterday was this National Express coach receiving attention to what appeared to be a broken window:-

Think the OP might have been suggesting it is the Eastern part of that service. Perhaps FSW can confirm - been a bit quiet recently so wonder if they're enjoying a well earned holiday?

Apparently FSW official is no longer posting on this site but is still looking at it.

Likewise, it was interesting and informative getting the insiders view. Whatever the reasons for him no longer posting the thread is the poorer without him and his perspective on things.

Hopefully the other regular posters will continue to contribute to this thread.

Thanks for the updates mic.

I've seen Former Fal River / First Kernow Dart S723 KNV today at the bus event at Gaydon.
It was sold on from Taunton and now lives in the Blackwood area of South Wales. It will appear next year on the rally circuit after attention and a repaint into an as yet undecided scheme over the winter.

It was purchased by the Cardiff bus 302 group to use as spares, but they reportedly decided it was far too good to break and decided to restore it.

It was indeed in good condition with new brakes fitted not long before withdrawl. Partly the reason for keeping it in working order was because one of the other Dart's has blown an engine.

the transfer back of 69230 is a replacement for bendie buses which are been withdrawn up here

23316 was on GWR rail replacement duties at Bristol Parkway this evening. Considering the buses are only shuttling up and down between Parkway and Patchway (a 5-minute journey) it seems a long way to send a vehicle.

What seemed to my untutored eyes a strange vehicle, numbered 56002, was seen pulling away from the Boot's stop in Pz this p.m. With its colour scheme and general appearance it put me in mind of the first vehicle I ever owned, an ex-G.P.O. (Telephones) van, in 1966! Its small destination screen was entirely blank and the scrunched-up bit of paper in the front window appeared from a distance to say BAG or somesuch, but as it passed me I could see it read M6. Not a single passenger had boarded it at Boot's or in the Bus Station, so maybe no-one had recognised it as a service bus. What is it?

I can't recall if it has already been mentioned but open top 32027 is now OIG 1794. Olympian 34311 was on the Falmouth Park and Ride service today.

34311 has been on the Falmouth P&R for about a fortnight or more now. I forgot to comment here when I was down there several days over the last fortnight.
