Hi Bradley, re: 42946
Would that be the vehicle involved in the head on collision on A30 a short time ago which was mentioned in the local press ?
Cheers, Mike R

Anybody hear about 42860/TT03TRU? It's being scrapped due to a rotten floor, if anyone could supply photos of it, that would be appreciated

Also, WA56FTV's been in an RTC, not sure what's happening to it
Bit pointless repainting 43860 when it was rusted out. Rust doesn`t suddenly appear overnight.

Unlike last year, the opentoppers are continuing to operate in Penzance as far as I can see i.e. I've seen them in PZ bus station, and travelling past the station, but I admit I haven't actually spotted any on the A1, or any other route for that matter. Last year, winter timetable was the cut-off.

The open toppers are in use daily on the A1/A2/A3 circuit. It only requires two vehicles. The A1 journeys which don't continue to/from the A3 are closed top. Same arrangement as earlier in the year.

What are the loadings like?
I thought the season was already over, but realise my mistake, having seen two open toppers on the A2 at lunchtime, in separate directions. Top deck loadings were two and nil respectively, but the weather had turned so not surprised.

There are usually some holidaymakers such as retired people and foreign visitors who take breaks out of the main season. Sometimes the buses can be busy in September with these people but if the weather was not good then perhaps they are shopping or visiting indoor events or using cafes etc.

Tinner on the A17 today, not uncommon in itself, but doesn't so often happen on a Sunday.

Little bit of a surprise at Slough on Friday, as part time First Kernow 43907 / T12GWR Bike Bus was parked outside the station. It has had it's vinyls changed last week to advertise the new GWR Timetable change in December and since spent a few days holidaying in both GWRs and Reading Buses Great Knollys Street depots (where the vinyl change was done).

Trident 33067 on U3 services today

Trident 33068 on U4 duties, currently on the 12:40 Penzance to Penryn Campus service

Uni E400 33422 on T1/T2 services, currently on the 12:37 T2 service from St Ives to Truro

Tinner 33451 on 85-93 services, currently on the 12:05 87 service from Truro to Newquay

So quite a few surprise appearances on many routes on this rather wet day

Today there was a Tinner on the A17 while one of the A17 Solo SRs was on the 46.

I noted a handful of hardy souls on the top deck of an open top A2 this afternoon when it was chucking down with rain!

Open top 37058 appears to have left Camborne. It had been moved from the "naughty corner" and has not been seen this week.

1st October, lousy weather, too busy concentrating on avoiding group of elderly cyclists in Marazion when coming towards me was an opentopper. No idea whether it was in service but, if not, why going through such a difficult place? 2 p.m ish.

32200 (open top) left Pz bus station around 10h50 (?) yesterday on the A1 with around 5 upstairs.
As she left the yellow decker came in out of services - guess about to start a run somewhere.

That would be the 1320 A2 from St Ives, bang on time.
