Cheers for that,Yes it was Mike.
Bit pointless repainting 43860 when it was rusted out. Rust doesn`t suddenly appear overnight.Anybody hear about 42860/TT03TRU? It's being scrapped due to a rotten floor, if anyone could supply photos of it, that would be appreciated
Also, WA56FTV's been in an RTC, not sure what's happening to it
The open toppers are in use daily on the A1/A2/A3 circuit. It only requires two vehicles. The A1 journeys which don't continue to/from the A3 are closed top. Same arrangement as earlier in the year.Unlike last year, the opentoppers are continuing to operate in Penzance as far as I can see i.e. I've seen them in PZ bus station, and travelling past the station, but I admit I haven't actually spotted any on the A1, or any other route for that matter. Last year, winter timetable was the cut-off.
I thought the season was already over, but realise my mistake, having seen two open toppers on the A2 at lunchtime, in separate directions. Top deck loadings were two and nil respectively, but the weather had turned so not surprised. What are the loadings like?
Today there was a Tinner on the A17 while one of the A17 Solo SRs was on the 46.
I noted a handful of hardy souls on the top deck of an open top A2 this afternoon when it was chucking down with rain!
Yellow Trident also seen at 10.30 ish in Crowlas working the A17.Mousehole Solo 53709 seen working the 1350 Roscadghill Parc - St Ives service 16A.
Yellow Trident 33071 seen working the 1520 St Ives to Hayle Towans service A4 and seen again later on service 18C.
It certainly gets about, on the U4 route todayYellow Trident also seen at 10.30 ish in Crowlas working the A17.
Into Winter store at Penzance, perhaps?Open top 37058 appears to have left Camborne. It had been moved from the "naughty corner" and has not been seen this week.
Into Winter store at Penzance, perhaps?
That and just a handful of Solos left to repaint in terms of single decks.Quite possibly, yes.
E200 44918 seen today and repainted green but unbranded. Just the one (44921) still in Barbie.
That would be the 1320 A2 from St Ives, bang on time.1st October, lousy weather, too busy concentrating on avoiding group of elderly cyclists in Marazion when coming towards me was an opentopper. No idea whether it was in service but, if not, why going through such a difficult place? 2 p.m ish.
