When allocated to Bath 32083 was in dark blue Unibus livery for use on Bath Spa University U5/U6 service. Kernow is also now the proud owners of its similar fellows 32069/70/75/76/96. The seventh member 32099 blew its engine last year and passed to Ensign in July and on to Shelton Motors for scrap in August.

Does anyone know how many geminis are due to go into cornwall college livery with 5 already done (i think) there can't be alot left.
They have also finished the two advert liverys.
Has anyone heard if they are going to do anymore different liverys as they will obviously go into kernow green but I haven't heard of any maybe going into Atlantic coasters colours, and with the disposal of alot of ac tridents it seems they were going to fill that space.

Marc Huws stated a few weeks ago that 12 were going into Cornwall College livery.

In respect of AC Coaster livery, given that the 30 MMCs still away are more or less sufficient to replace all older double decks vehicles on the mainstream local bus network I would hope that the A17 gets some of these instead.

Its likely that the green e400 will appear on many more western routes presumably the odd a17 and u4 maybe but unlikely get a repaint

32070 broken down and still with clearly readable Bath logos at Whipton Shops in Exeter whilst on the way to Bicton. It sounded rough yesterday and obviously was! Wonder if the wifi and USB ports normally still work on it?

Some timetable updates from 1 November are now on Traveline.

The A1 returns to its usual two-hourly winter timetable. Surprisingly, the A2 and A3 are continuing to operate, at two return journeys a day.

It probably didn’t help these KP51s were in store at the now closed First Westbury outstation for four to five months. I was told unofficially these were marked down for scrap but obviously many things are subject to change!

Fair point - don't know how much TLC they got before being stored and during that period. I suspect that they were going to head to Ensign and then either go for sale or component recovery.

Suspect the wifi is long gone but the USBs should work (assuming they've not been abused by folk)

All of which feature in the winter timetable book that runs from September with timetable notes

I had one a couple of weeks ago on a college run (just plaxton for the last few weeks) but all the features work wifi and USB were working for me anyway

It is good to have the booklet timetable back, wasn't a great fan of the leaflet type was a bit of a pain trying to quickly find a timetable, did see they have given up with putting a confirmed end date to the timetable as have TfC, makes sense with the current unpredictable situation

Yes you’d think so as there won’t be so much work for them in the east when they return next year. I also wonder if any of the Gemini’s will get Atlantic Coaster livery for the A17.

I would think that some would but then again if all the e400mmc come back there will be enough of them to fill the a17 and and other spare routes so the geminis will on be needed for college so maybe they will just go into green.
But it would be really nice to see a e400mmc in ac colours but highly unlikely

Why would it be highly unlikely? Pure speculation, but if the T1 and T2 don't return to their previous frequencies the six Tinners that are still away could be ideal candidates. They'll be four years old by the time they return, so within the window for a routine repaint.

I don't know if they would put e400mmc on the A17; they didn't even put e200mmc on there and instead went for Solos!

Which, pre-Covid, were unsuitable, relegating the A17 most of the time to First Kernow's sink fleet of Tridents.

There's clearly going to be sufficient E400s to cover mainstream local bus services so if they don't go on the A17 I'd be interested in where they do end up!

Which continue onto the A1? Presumably these are the workings that will be open top all winter, in theory at least, but only one bus in practice? (sorry, haven't studied the timetables concerned).

It’s a shame how little of First’s West Country network is left. Years ago I travelled from Salisbury to Tavistock on one day ticket, nowadays you can just about cross Somerset using First buses...

They will do, 2 round trips a day in both directions with the rest doing the old A1 winter route
