My first visit to Truro for several weeks following a hospital appointment. Saw two Tridents on the T2 and a green MMC on the T1. Being from West Cornwall, I paid special attention to how the Ts 1 and 2 were operating, and I have to say I was disappointed. Now there is a 15 minute interval, rather than the previous 10 minute one, between Truro and Camborne, to see two buses (one on the T2, the following one on the T1) nose to tail, as I did on three occasions, only the once towards the Bus Station, doesn't fill me with confidence. It suggests there have been almost 30 minute intervals in the actual service. As it happens, the 16.40ish departures from Victoria Square were come across again by me up at Truro College, where the T1 was once again letting the T2 take all the passengers and was obviously not prepared to overtake it. As it happens, what were probably the next pair of buses westbound had passed me eastbound at County Arms, with the T1 chaser hanging back too. Yes, I realise that different routeings after St Erth can help to cause such things, but all in all it reminded me of my London days of long ago when such practices were endemic. Those 16.40 buses would have left the bus station within a minute or two of each other: the traffic was very light. Maybe it can all be justified, I'm not naive, but it doesn't look good.
