Just to warn people, there are currently no trains running between Sheffield and Doncaster due to flooding at Conisbrough. Buses are replacing trains but there is currently no estimate as to when these will commence.

Looks like its reopened again with a speed restriction. XC were diverting but are now running a normal route - 50 minute delays expected according to NRE.

Been quite a bad day for delays up and around the ECML - trains off between Newcastle and Prudhoe due to signalling problem at Blaydon, then delays at York and Dunbar as well.

I guess they Would go via Pontefract and Moorthorpe from York. The weather has not been that bad really just heavy showers now and again, we are meant to be getting a months rain tomorrow though so it could be chaos.

There has been some heavy rain around South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire this afternoon. Here in Scunthorpe, we had approx 2 inches of rain in 2 hours earlier which did cause some localised flooding, but evidently did not affect the railway here. The 2 photos linked show how bad it was literally just around the corner from where I live ....

Tomorrow, I'm expecting a lot of disruption around here, as the forecast (on the BBC website at least) is heavy rain all day here.
