Hi all,

First GW advise via. JourneyCheck that the line between Yeovil Pen Mill and Dorchester West is flooded meaning that Bristol - Weymouth trains are terminating at / starting from Yeovil Pen Mill.

The line is likely to be closed until 28th January.

It would appear, however, that SWT might be providing some kind of alternative! FGW also advise that, due to the flooding in question:

"South West Trains services are conveying passengers between Trowbridge and Weymouth via Southampton Central in both directions until further notice. Arrangements have been made for First Great Western rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys."

Road transport between Salisbury and Trowbridge due to engineering works at Westbury but must make for a nice long trip from Weymouth to Trowbridge today! Also I guess you would change trains at Southampton but sounds interesting anyway.

Dave

It merely means that passengers can travel via Southampton on FGW (i.e. Portsmouth/Brighton) services and that FGW tickets would be accepted on their services between Southampton and Weymouth
