Somebody couldn't be a hero and drop me a list of the 'in service' Class 86s and what diagrams they tend to be on for Freightliner. Many thanks.
two left ipswich this morning on 10:46 but i didn't see which ones.
Usually only 4L89 to Ipswich and 4M87 back to Trafford Park.Bumping this up again-does anyone have diagrams for services which are normally 86-hauled on the southern half of the WCML?
Usually only 4L89 to Ipswich and 4M87 back to Trafford Park.
Last year, 4L92 Ditton to Ipswich and 4M42 return were often 86s too,
but that diagram is almost always a class 66 or 70 now.

4M54 stopped running last year, I'm afraid. What about the Tilbury-Crewe runs?

Bumping this back up - Freightliner 86s do still work the southern section of the WCML.
The 1113 Felixstowe to Trafford Park was 2 x 86 yesterday (Friday 23-Sep) - photo taken at Tring.
Fairly sure I've seen this one operated by 2 x 86 a couple of times recently.
The one before it - 0932 Felixstowe to Crewe was a FLT 90
Felixstowe - Ditton (O'Connor) is quite regularly a double headed 86. 86609 is the worst one to get ticked off. Been looking for a year now for it...
Not great on numbers - 632 & 638 yesterday
I meant I still need it because it is hard to find it...
I'm pretty sure last month I saw 86 609 in the Arriva works yard at Crewe; don't know if it's still there but if it's not been out and about it might be.
Have you tried asking about it on the TOPS requests thread?
whatever FL is going north through MK at about 1600 on a weekday is a solid 86 turn.
I'm still using a 2013 Platform 5 spotting book, it lists 86621, 33 and 35 as stored - based on pictures on Flickr, I take it these are now done for good? Are they still 'stored' or considered scrapped now?
Not yet. Might do sometime soon. I'm sure I'll see it sooner or later in the coming months...
86612 and 86637 today on Felixstowe to Trafford Park.
86612 looking a bit tired, but 86637 running in the updated Freightliner livery, and also with a different pantograph - does this suggest that Freightliner see a future for the 86s and are still investing in them??
Isn't that a Stones Faiverley pantograph? (older then the Brecknell Willis on the 86 at the front).
