I'll be based in ipswich! Up to Crewe on my first day tho! Yeh I'm on the graduate course! I had my medical back in September, reason why I waited so long is they said they didn't have enough people that had passed to start the course. Well done to the chap goin for medical, was was at Harley street in London! (Very posh) good luck to everyone tho, I've hurd there is another intake in June aswell.

I've heard yesterday that they are only setting external applicants on for these roles. Im hoping this isn't the case, otherwise this system would be majorly unfair for the likes of me and other internals.

Hi people. Just saying thank you to everybody really. Got my confirmation today about a job with another TOC trainee driver starting in a couple of weeks. I'm so chuffed I can't tell you how glad I am to get here. Never dreamed I would be on this position. Never thought I had a chance but I'm glad I was wrong. Thank you so much to everybody who has messaged me or given me and advice n information on this thread or any other thread. Your help has been invaluable to me and I really appreciate it. I hear now the hard work begins! Bring it on hahaha. Can't wait. I wish you all the best of luck in the future and hope you all get on with freightliner or whoever to achieve your goals. I know how important it can be. Thank you all again. Cheers.

Well done fella! Pleased you have got a start date for your new career!
Thought a few more might have heard about medicals for the March date by now, think there is only Daz who has heard so far so maybe he got the last place?

I know of one other member who has been been invited for a medical (he was contacted a few days ago), and there is still time left for others.

I'm still hopeful but I can't see myself getting a letter for a medical! what was your chosen depot Darryl?

I said Ferrybridge would be best but also Leeds, York, Doncaster, Immingham, barrowhill, anywhere within about an hour and 15 min commute

Just checked the earlier threads on this post. On the 17th October 2014 quite a few posters heard on here if they had been successful or unsuccessful for the jan intake (2 and a half months). I'm thinking now that the march intake is obviously less than 2 months away so feeling a bit gutted. :(

I spoke to Laura Gutten yesterday and she assures me their still sorting the people out for the depots needed, and no one has being offered anything yet. So said she'd be in touch when the numbers are sorted out. So this is somewhat good news to us who haven't heard anything about having a medical.

Well that's encouraging news Scott, hopefully we will all hear some good news soon.

There isn't a depot at Barrow Hill, Midland Road at Leeds is at establishment & I think Donny is as well,York is only a SOP, a satellite of Ferrybridge.
Immingham has vacancies in the link, but no one has been taken on there since the loss of the oil traffic. At Ferrybridge I think there are some vacancies but not many.

Some people have been offered places, I have recieved my employee handbook, contract, uniform request and pay scale for the March intake! Only 6 weeks away, I start on the 16th March! My medical was back in September so have had to wait a fair bit! There is another intake in June tho, so good luck guys!

Yeah I know there are no depots there, I just mentioned them.

A guy who had interview after me wanted to be based Crewe but they said they were full there and they suggested the North East to him, although when I applied the 'North East' was everything north of the midlands!

for heavy haul??? I've not heard about that. And I work for Freighliner.

Choo13 (from what I can gather) is on the Intermodal intake, which is different to the HH one, although maybe they will train them together (for rules, regs PTS, 66 & 70's etc, with the only major difference being the wagons used?)

regards,
Darryl

Hi everyone

I was called today and invited for a medical on 2nd Feb, I'm hoping this is progression to the next stage and not just into a talent pool.....

regards,
Darryl

Not heard a thing. Just the same rumour of only external applicants getting the positions.
