Thanks folks, glad you've enjoyed the pictures.

It would be nice to see one last open day at Old Oak before the place is made redundant by Crossrail. To be honest, I always enjoyed visiting because of the vast numbers of withdrawn locos you always got to see (and photograph) at open days. Many of the ones which were there at the 1994 open day are now in this gallery dedicated to withdrawn and condemned locos:

Interesting stuff; be good if they would hold another open day there.

Yeah I really want another open day at OOC. Would like to see a lineup of a Shed, Fred, Dred and Bluebird and a 57/0, 57/3, 57/6 (West Coast) and 57/6 (FGW). In the past few years, it seems that all the open days of depots are up North. Theres been Crewe, Doncaster, Carlisle Kingmoor.

Great pics there Paul. The pics from the OOC 2000 open day remind me of my visit.

I really like the following pic from the stored locos. http://paulbigland.fotopic.net/p8369649.html
