I've seen nothing reported on any gen groups (inc the SWT group) so would be quite surprised if they'd been missed. It would also leave SWT rather short of DMUs, as the first 159/1 isn't due to arrive at Salisbury until next Monday.

I doubt it very much. Like peope have said, SWT arent reaeasig ANY of their 170s until their 'good as new' 158/1s are all at Sailsbury.

159102 is ready to be realeased from Doncaster Works though.

The 170s, Morgan - none have gone yet. I think someone's been pulling your leg. As said above, we couldn't cope with such a hole in our 170 fleet ;) ;)

I don't think it moved today, Sprog, as Dad would most likely have seen it (hopefully) pass his work. As for the 170s, Morgan, none have gone yet. I think someone's been pulling your leg. As said above, we couldn't cope with such a whole in our 170 fleet ;) ;)

Hail All! <D
On the subject of the impending DMU reshuffle, I and a friend were on a footbridge over the South West main line east of Farnborough earlier today and amongst other things saw a few 159s go past. One of them was around about the time in the table listed above by Sprog, so you never know...If the movement of 159102 was today, then me and my friend saw it and didn't even realise the epic journey that it was coming toward the end of! 8)
(Obviously I'm asuming that the SWT livery would have been applied at Doncaster works before transit! :D)

On the subject of the 170s...I saw one of those doubled-up with a 159 go past at about 14:45 heading for London, so we do still have a few of those about as well...For now. :)

Farewell... <D

P.S: If you're really cold, try standing on a footbridge just before a Class 66 goes beneath you...I did that earlier on today, and the exhaust fumes almost lifted me off my feet, as well as warming me up nice and crispy!

Hail (Again!) <D

I wondered what was in those boxes! All that I noticed was a "First" logo on the front (Which confused me as I was expecting an EWS loco!) and the obscene amount of turbulence from the wagons themselves...Certainly made rolling my cigarette at the time an interesting experience! :D
Were you on the station then, or were you just watching the line from your house with binoculars? :)

Best thing about that bridge though is the fact that it's single span and it's only about 30cm outside of the vehicle gauge...Best part was when a single Sprinter unit (159012 I think) went past at speed, and the turbulence from it caused the bridge to be "sucked down" slightly. That was fun! 8)

Farewell... <D

Nah - it runs everyday M-F and is usually on time (15:25 give or take literally 2 minutes). It runs down to Southampton empty and returns full.

It isn't hard to fool Morgan!!!

No, 110% no 170's have arrived, I pass the depot everyday and there definately NO 170's there mate. I did see a 158 on there a couple of days back though - which seems quite unusual, as it is usaully a staple diet of only 185's.
