Unless for some sort of light freight use, I see no future for them.

Just to be pedantic it's Renatus

I expect the owners would have planned the leasing charges so that the costs of the refurb are covered by the expected length remaining on lease. So if nobody wants them, scrap.

Not specifically for the Renatus units though - previous speculation was that 321/4 units would be used.
