For anyone interested, I have just picked up my diagram for tomorrow and for the first time in a long time, trains will be running to Moorgate tomorrow ( Sunday ) with the exception if Drayton park and Essex road. This is due to the block at belle isle closing kings x.

Oh!

Thought it was finally happening, Moorgate at weekends and all that, as it was the timetable change date!

Checked the times, then just re-read your post. Only today :(

I expect a few people will assume that too, given today is the first day of the new timetable.

What research? I'd like a link to a website or credit to a publication, please.

The roofline might be 10 inches lower but the VCB does not sit flush with the roofline. This is the highest part of the train and also has to fit down the pipe.

I agree, I can't find anything other then that very reliable site of Wikipedia ;)

...except that Cl313-315 have a pantograph and VCB that sit above the roofline making them taller than Cl507-508.

Must I keep saying this...?

I wouldn't waste your energy. You can tell people on here the facts as many times as you like but they all still know better...

I was trying to answer the point someone made earlier that the 313s were specially designed for the NCL, and I don't think that's true.

Post Thameslink all off peak WGC will become Thameslink via st Pancras - 2 to Maidstone east and 2 to Tart Corner per hour. The Hertford loop will see an increase in services to Moorgate in the peak, not too sure. About off peak.

That's not confirmed and based on one of the early proposals subject to change.

It's not just not confirmed, it's wrong! The franchise spec includes a WGC - Moorgate stopping service all day (and all weekend).

Would a modified Bombardier S Stock meet the loading gauge requirements?

Does anybody know what is happening at Drayton park? it only recently had a spruce up of new paint and lighting but for some weeks it has had scaffolding on the station buildings of drayton park itself?

I dont suppose this is somehow connected to the increased usage the line would have going to a a full seven day a week service? Probably more likely to be a leaky roof!! Cant find any details on FCC's website?

Just out of pure interest, what stock is actually allowed to go from Finsbury Park to Moorgate?

The only stock used is 313s. Other FCC stock can't go in as they arnt duel voltage and 365s are too wide. Mk1 coaches have been down there in the past though.
