Where are the actual depots, routes and traction etc... I am relocating to Burton on Trent soon and need to find a position up there!

Can't speak for GBRf but FL are based at Lawley St. Core routes for new drivers are Leeds and Southampton plus diversions. Nice depot, really good bunch of guys and the best conditions of any of the Freight companies.
