1N26 arrives at YRK at 1410
1A63 arrives at YRK at 1322 so I don't see how it can be done!!

Huh? You've even managed to confuse me!!

1N26 (11:27 ex KGX) arrives at York 13:19 and 1A62 (ie, 12:30 ex SUN) arrives at 14:06

I love how I've managed to confuse everyone here :|

I'm only doing York-Thirsk and back, would have been Northallerton but I'd have quite a wait to get back to York :P

With regards to allocations today I'm not too sure as didn't get the lists last night. If you watch what works 1N25 (0804 ex-KGX) then that'll be your set Southbound from Thirsk. The set that works 1A60 (0641 ex-SUN) will form 1N26 the 1127 ex-KGX. If you keep a note of any updates then you should be OK and be able to work it out!!

Well I'm on a TPE heading to York now that apparantly isn't going to Leeds (no idea why, incident at Leeds apparantly), first class to myself? I think so :D

I'm at York now, the 13:22 is badly delayed so no chance of a GC bash today. GC how could you let me down on the one day I wanted to travel with you?

The delays aren't neccessarily the fault of Grand Central. If you ahve a complaint then I suggest you contact them. Just to confirm the P/Way lookout that was struck by the ECS working has now, tragically, died.

A terrible accident, my thoughts go out to his family and friends :(

Hmm, I saw 180105 (must have been, unless FGW are going to York now) pulling in as I was on the TPE heading out so it's no big deal, I'm really not going to complain about missing a trip to Thirsk on a 180

The 14:10 was formed of 43080 and 43068 which made up for it, and then some :)

sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound tongue-in-cheek

allow me to rephrase

"how unfortunate that the day you were to go on a trip there were problems, I know it is annoying when this happens, but gc is not fully to blame for this, but there will be plenty of time to get some valenta bashing done, as the mtu refits contract hasn't been signed yet"

The longer it takes the better, but with 43065 having failed on Sunday just gone we're now having to suffer more ****in' 180 vice HST moves. Grr!

Nice bit of screamage captured there 91107 :) Always enjoy seeing 068 doing some good work, indeed I sure enjoyed the thrash off her last Saturday, nice to be right next to her in a declassified TF :)

Thanks :D

Tell you what, my ears bloody hurt after that. Before departure I was trying to signal to the driver to give it notch 5 but I thought he'd misunderstood as he waved at me - then he opened it up. I knew 43080 had a good noise but I really wasn't expecting such a howl from 43068 :P

068's always been a bit of a howler, 080 is over-rated in comparison I reckon ;)

Still can't get enough of that beasty sound though, you cannot imagine how hard it was to have to flag the 1127 KGX > SUN last Saturday!

And is now out of action again !! <(

You're bloody joking. Thought it was 065 that had a module failure last weekend. Either way, gutted to hear 067's out of action. Why do I get a horrible feeling that 065 and 067 will be the first to be MTU'd...

Can only echo your emoticon there, but I'll multiple it by 3...<(<(<(

Sorry to hear that. Next time, check Livedepartureboards.co.uk ! I don't leave the house without checking these days!

I thought of that, however I'd booked in advance on TPE (from Manchester) and my train to York was at 11:11, 16 minutes before 1N26 departed Kings Cross. I'm going back in the second or third week of January, or when the 180-vice-HST plan stops (unless it's 180112), armed with a brand new camera (12MP :D) and an open return so I can do a proper bash to Sunderland.

Well we will just have to see how it pans out. I am spending the day at YRK and NTR tomorrow and should see a number of GC services and will post which sets worked what tomorrow night. Also there will probably be some more 180s due shortly because the lease was signed for several more some months ago and as I understood it 180114 was nearing completion at Wolverton - can anyone confirm this?

It's a shame to hear about '67 - what's the fault.
