Self?
I admit to checking with Mr W Pedia and the answer really isn't guessable - you are either familiar with it or (like me) you aren't!
OK - I think the answer is "Excluded Middle". The Laws of Identity, Non-Contradiction and Excluded Middle are the three "Laws of Thought" said to have originated with Plato, developed by Aristotle and further expanded by philosophers in the Middle Ages. On a quick read of the Wikipedia article I can see what they are getting at, but ….. maybe @DaleCooper can explain further. Otherwise Google "Laws of Thought" and take it from there!
If that's right then open floor as I am travelling today.
Thank you; let's have a look at some birthdays on this day!
1. The Victorian pioneer of detective and suspense stories was born in London, 1824.
2. An American singer, the survivor of two boys, was born in Tupelo, 1935.
3. A Welsh singer was born in Cardiff, 1937.
4. The Supreme Leader of an Asian country was born today in 1986.
Can you name them?
I'll have a guess.
1. Arthur Conan Doyle
2. Elvis Presley
3. Tom Jones
4. Kim Jong Un
Well done, you've got two out of four, nos. 2 and 4.
I had my doubts about no.3 as I'm sure Tom hails from Pontypridd but couldn't think of another Welsh singer of around that age.
