No, none of that, I'm afraid ... but I have a confession to make: the book is actually "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and not "You Only Live Twice" - doh!

So, let's start again ... sorry!

Are you thinking that the UK is going downhill like a speeding bobsleigh or heading for the blades of a snowplough? Or is it the obsession with noble birth?

Obviously there is biological warfare tried by Blofeld and of course that is a bit like the COVID-19 theme but struggling with the other connection. Though I could tongue in cheek say de pfeffel (trying to get a knighthood by being PM) is a bit like Blofeld trying to get recognized as a Count but that is stretching it.

Just guessing, are Virii or fear of Virii involved, or something like anthrax on a remote island?

There is a connection with Anthrax, yes.

No, nothing like that!

Yes, you have the first connection, well done. Blofeld's plan was to brainwash a dozen attractive young ladies into spreading biological warfare germs (including Anthrax, see above) but our man Bond stopped it happening.

Is it that Blofeld wants to be a Count but nobody in the government can count?
Wicked sir -wicked. But I like it!

I thought that would have been spell rather than count? But no, that's not it.

Would the second connection involve Dame Diana Rigg who played the part of Tracey and sadly passed away earlier this year?

Could it be that in this novel after the cold Bond in Dr No -"Thats a --- and you have had your six" we see a more emotional side of Bond in this novel even marrying. de Pfeffel after he got Covid and nearly died started showing a more emotional side and even named his new child after the NHS workers that saved him?

No, I'm afraid not, so I've decided to call a halt to this one, and give the answer.

It is that the name of the operation to find out if the Comte de Bleuville is Ernst Stavro Blofeld is "Corona"! I'm sorry for being so tenuous, but there you are. I will give you the next job on behalf of "M", though, as you did get the part relating to the germ warfare ... over to you, shaken, not stirred, I hope!

Lets keep with Bond. I was told off on a cruise ship because I called out a bartender who said Bond liked his Martini shaken not stirred because the shaken ice melted and diluted the drink and thus he was more alert than someone who had his drink stirred.

Why did I call total BS and got told off for ruining the story?

Because the ice would melt at the same rate whether the ice was shaken or stirred?

Because the drink would have been drunk before the ice melted, and therefore the drink was not diluted.

A subject I know fractionally more about, than James Bond -- can answer one out of five: the Corners -- Not In Front Of The Children.

The Abbots were, I think, Sid and Diane(?) from Bless This House. Can't remember the 2 kids names though.

Yes, it was Bless this House, but it was Sid and Jean, with Sally and Mike.

Only Price / Willis to get now.
