As a bit of a clue for one of the remaining clues, I should clarify that they were made for UK tv, not necessarily based in the UK.

Dixon of Dock Green and Van der Valk are correct. Care to enlarge upon the last one - it was not the answer I was expecting, but was it one of the books? Who was the main character?

If I may...

George Galloway is standing in the forthcoming Batley and Spen by-election. What is the name of the party he is standing for?

One of his (what seems like many) parties - mostly created by him - is / was Respect, but I'm not sure whether he's standing for them this time. If it isn't, it could well be the "Jeremy Corbyn for President" party .... ?

Okay, the "George Galloway for Dictator" party .... ? Seriously, though, is there a connection with Yorkshire in the title ... the Yorkshire Independence Party?

No, it is a national party, not a regional party. Indeed, its full title is "******* ***** of Britain".

Time for a clue:

The second word is 'Party ', so what is the first?

Prentis Hancock, Nick Tate, Zienia Merton, Clifton Jones, Anton Phillips, Yasuko Nagazumi and Tony Anholt all made regular (non-lead) appearances on which 1970's TV series?

Great favourite of mine - The Protectors with Robert Vaughan as Harry Rule and Nyree Dawn Porter as Contessa Di Contini.

Tony Anholt played Paul Buchet.

Yasuko Nagazumi played Suki

Sorry, no, although Yasuko Nagazumi (as Suki) was a fellow co-star with Tony Anholt on "The Protectors".

Ok possibly jumped in too soon earlier, having followed Tony Anholt's career till his death in 2002,

Space 1999 was his next tv series, before Howards Way, The Sweeney and Only Fools and Horses.

Is the right answer. (The first series is currently being repeated on one of the higher number Freeview channels).
