Anyone else noticed the variation of stock on TfW Gerald recently it appears to be a bit hit and miss if you want the restaurant

in a week in June 2023 it was as follows

16 153914+153323

19 67008

20 670xx

Don't think it is a recent phenomenon :(

It's several years since I last used it, and I learnt to hold off booking the upgrade until the last minute.

I was intending to use it this on Wednesday 21st but changed my plans when I saw it wasn’t operating. I couldn’t see any publicity about it either which is very poor.

There was a concert on at the Millennium Stadium that evening so assumed the MKIV carriages were being used to crowd busy later in the evening but not sure if that is what happened.

Booked restaurant service in 2019, 158 showed up. Got given some sandwiches off the trolley. Haven't bothered since!

No longer here
This farce has been ongoing for some time unfortunately. I am no longer committing to any Gerald bookings.

I don’t think I’d be able to count on both hands the amount of threads that have done this moan to death, without getting a new pair of hands anyway. It’s been this way for years. Rhymney Valley and perhaps Manchester North Wales aside, TfW is currently an absolute mess.
