Have GoSouth Coast management noticed that their former Brighton Bluestar Scania OmniDekkas have Alexander-Dennis badges? I know it doesn't affect the random passenger but it's a bit strange.

I guess someone has a mischievous sense of humour and stuck a spare badge on. I seem to remember another similar example – maybe an Optare Solo with a Mercedes badge? – but I can't find it.

Seen on 27-Mar-2020 on the M3 South near Eastleigh was an Enviro400 MMC in a rather smart new Activ8 livery for Service 8 between Andover and Salisbury. I noted the registration as being HF20 CVB and the paint being a base colour similar to that of the Unilink vehicles in Southampton. Vehicle was on trade plates and heading, I guess, for temporary storage at Bluestar (Eastleigh). I don't know how many are due or how many had already turned up before ths ADL shutdown.

Hello,
With the new depot at Bournemouth, has the Excelsior fleet been transferred somewhere else?

No stays as is, also large number of More buses (ex Poole) now permanently allocated to the rebuilt depot.

Nope. Go south coast is more fluid like that. Also excelsior is slowly fading away with its fleet shrinking. Plus there yard in Bournemouth was of more interest to them.

With National Express now owning the Luckett's group, I can see NX Switching it's contracts over to them instead of GSC soon anyway, which probably explains the shrinking of Excelsior.

Where are 267-274 operating these days as I was in Southampton the other day and none were seen?

Still out of Eastleigh depot. Tend to be on 3,4,5 or 35; the last two don't go into Southampton so maybe you were just unlucky.

The new Enviro200 MMC are on buslistsontheweb as HF20 CVC-CVE/CVG/CVH/CVJ; fleet nos. 275-280 albeit not in that order. BLOTW has photos for all of them.

You can see where these buses are and what routes they are on on the Bustimes.org site.
1672-1677 are Morebus:
1678/9 & 1683-1685 are Bluestar:
1680-82 are Salisbury Reds:
You can also see the history of each bus as an example the link is for 1680:
So by checking various days you should be able to build up a pattern of where these buses are generally used.

The Salisbury Reds ones are branded for the activ8. The more bus batch is normally found on the 13 while the latest 3 at bluestar I think are for the 16 or 18 but are not route banded.

1673-1677 our for the 13 however covid 19 has ment they have moved around as there lower seating capacity due to tables upstairs have made them less suitable. 1672 is a Bournemouth uni bus and isnt to the same spec.

Salisbury Red’s Solo 3828 towed into Hants and Dorset Trim at Eastleigh this afternoon with serious front end damage.

Thanks for the information guys, had a good couple of days in Dorset & Hampshire and saw some of my required buses. A return visit needed to Poole to see some of the Unibus E400MMC's and Bournemouth as a few vehicles I needed were on routes X1, X2 & X3.

Already happened and was always going to happen, Covid or no Covid. The GSC drivers on NX were given the option of TUPEing to Lucketts or switching to local bus ops. Lucketts are opening a base at Bournemouth Airport.

Although some drivers did cover both NX and Excelsior, they were separate units with different pay rates, drivers and controllers. Excelsior had no direct responsibility for the NX routes, which were run out of Poole depot.

I assume.the 035 diagrams that Yellow Buses operate are not going to be long for this world either?

I thought that would be happening, thanks for confirming it. Probably a blow to the coaching side of Go Ahead but it makes sense for the NX Group to 'pool' things in house.

Under my stone....
Lucketts have no need to open a base at Bournemouth Airport, as their Solent Coaches operation already has a site there.

Will be bad news for Yellow Buses if the 035 does go to Lucketts.
