I have just seen 5O79 Hornsey depot - Lovers walk depot and I can confirm that 387301/305 were on the move.
Does anyone know if these have been sent to lovers walk for use with southern?

Went past Worksop on Fri. Didn’t look like there were anything like 12 units in the north sidings. Are any kept on the main south yard or have more gone south?

There’s a report on SE-Gen pages that 379010/017 worked 1T03 0514 Kings Lynn to KX this morning. Can anyone confirm?
Dunno about that, but 379 010 + 379 017 are booked for 2T92 ( 16.19 Cambridge to Ely ) and 1T47 ( 16.48 Ely to King's Cross ) this afternoon...

That should also put them on 2C52 ( 18.27 King's Cross - Cambridge ) this evening and then 2C65 back ( 20.26 Cambridge - King's Cross ) then ecs to Hornsey.

This pair are on 2T92, as expected. 379010 is leading to Ely.

It's about time they started slotting into meaningful diagrams, given we've just lost more 387s without obvious replacements!
... Well it was always the plan but the recommissioning has taken longer, due to X, Y & Z. Modifications were required to make these run on the Cambridge & Kings Lynn sections, so nothing could be done until this work was completed and tested reliably.

OK so with 010 and 017 going into service today - this is what I think the spread of the fleet is. Updates welcome. BW DC

001/027 was on 1T42 and is currently on 1T53 KLN - KGX so should also form 2L58 to Letchworth

This is good news they are getting used on the whole network. Are they on regular diagrams yet? I saw a pair yesterday running empty from Letchworth - London Kings Cross (passenger service cancelled because of a fault on the train).

001 & 027 should be on 1T03 right now, so that brings today's diagram to this:
5T03 05:00 Kings Lynn Stabling Siding - Kings Lynn
1T03 05:14 Kings Lynn - London Kings Cross
1T08 07:12 London Kings Cross - Ely
5T08 08:38 Ely - Cambridge Sidings South
5T98 09:15 Cambridge Sidings South - Cambridge Sidings North

5T08 08:38 Ely - Cambridge Sidings South
5T98 09:15 Cambridge Sidings South - Cambridge Sidings North
This then works;
2T92 1619 Cambridge - Ely
1T47 1648 Ely - Kings Cross
2C52 1827 Kings Cross - Cambridge, and
2C65 2026 Cambridge - Kings Cross
ECS to Hornsey Depot

This will be a regular 379 turn, likewise there's another pair balancing this starting at Hornsey and finishing Kings Lynn Stabling Siding although I don't have headcodes to hand for that.

Thanks. What replaces that diagram in the middle of the day. I assume normally that train you return to London and then do a few Kings Cross - Letchworth turns. New timetable next week so see if that produces a few more.

1T70 is the run that shunts into KLNSS as 5T70 at the end of the day. If anyone wants to extrapolate backwards to work out what units it will be.

What would be the return from Ely is formed by the 0810 Kings Lynn to Kings Cross (happens to be an 8 car 700), likewise the 1648 from Ely forming from a unit off Cambridge CS allows the 1512 from Kings Cross to extend to Kings Lynn

Effectively, that diagram is peak hour only. It has not been created for the 379.
