Oh yeah, since I first applied in early 2012, i've been so patience waiting for each stage but now it seems even harder!

I just got confirmation that hopefully it will be 7th March. I hope i'm not too deaf.

Exactly like me then! I originally applied for a West Anglia job. It too such a long time due to the reaction test breaking so it wasn't until late last year I had my managers interview, which I wasn't successful at. Second time lucky and on my doorstep! Maybe it's fate.. (although I don't believe in that )

He got told he passed there and then- apart from the urine drug test which he knows will be clear- takes two days to come back apparently x didn't know you are still waiting!

Oh that's what I got told too, I know there won't be nothing wrong with my urine but I'd like to have proper confirmation lol x

Congrats to Kevin! I'm paranoid about my ears.. Other than that i'm sure i'm fine, unless theres a height limit

Kevin was worries about ears too but passed fine so don't worry. I think there is a height limit of 6.4 or something I've read somewhere x

I was just thinking of posting . My medical is on the 19th!

I was going to ask...Those who have had a medical what is the process once you leave? Do you get told if you're through (pending the drug testing) and then hear from GA? As a start date thrown around is 7th March I really should hand my notice in a few days after the medical.

Well on the day they told me everything looked good but I would have to wait 5 days for the results of my sample, obviously I know I've passed because there won't be nothing in my urine apart from paracetamol which they knew about that but I STILL haven't had official confirmation :-x

I emailed a lady in HR to ask is she knew but she passed me on to Someone else and he never emailed me so I emailed him and still nothing.

Obviously I'd like to know ASAP but I have a bit more time as I'm on the April course but hope they don't take this long with the people for the March course



EDIT: OMG HOW STRANGE...just received my contract in the post, I start Friday 25th April

Yeah definitely, so nice to know an exact date, Im at ilford too hopefully everyone should be getting letters/contracts now.

Hubby got his contract yesterday too! Think they sorted his medical and contract quickly as we hassled about the need to give notice. He will be at Colchester and starts on 7 march! Yay!

Medical done! I'm done unless someone spiked my drinks with crack. Annoying having to wait for results as i'd rather be 100% sure before I hand in notice!

What did the medical entail? How long did it last?

About an hour, then 30 mins waiting around or a doctor to pretty much type something up and tell you what happens now.

The hour contained having a wee. Colour blind test, eyesight test, hearing test, height and weight, ECG, A few simple movements for not even a minute, lots of questions (you fill out a form before hand and they just go through it with you when they input it into the computer. I might have missed something but a lot of it is sitting down while they work out things or explain what they are doing.

I am a bit worried about the eye test, I don't wear glasses but think that I might need them. I am sure it's not a fail though. The rest seems pretty straight forward. I've got mine tomorrow. Do you find out if you've passed on the day?

Good luck, you'll be fine

You do find out all your results just not the urine test but everything else they tell you there and then. Don't worry about the eye test, they want you to go with what line your comfortable with, I couldn't do the last line of letters and got 1 letter wrong and I was fine so don't worry too much

I don't know why communication is so difficult for this company! We heard last week an start in 2... If you start in 2 weeks too I can't believe they haven't told you yet! Crazy!

Well I only just had the medical so I can understand they can't send contracts out until drug test comes back but i'd like to know for def which date it would be so I can hand in my notice and not be stressed about it

Had mine on Wednesday. Got missed call on Friday but followed up on Monday which confirmed the start date and that it's all good.. Still no contract but i'm thinking mine should be here tomorrow.
