Recently I went to Cardiff to watch rugby.
I'm well aware FGW ban GroupSave tickets to destinations where major sporting events occur. That's fair enough. For some really big events FGW website GpSave restrictions page lists them months and months in advance. For other less major ones, it seems they restrict them with much less notice.
My point is:
I looked at the restrictions for the game I went to see, about six weeks before, and there were none. I'll buy GpSave 4 tickets I thought. When I was ready to buy, about two weeks in advance, GpSave was banned. What would my position have been if I'd bought GpSave six weeks in advance, then they'd been banned later?
As it was I used a family railcard instead, and the price was very similar.
