Not as long as ye might think, I'm afraid! Ye've left a very, very easy clue lying around for anyone who knows where to look! ;)

(Consequently I won't be posting a guess as I now know which station it is...But if anyone guesses right, I'll announce it to save time. :))

As the photo has been revealed, what gave it away?

I'm a Southern man, I know full well that the Class 438s (4-TCs) looked like an SR emu but in reality were no more than a rake of Mk1s with a cab at each end, and that picture was almost certainly in late 1988 or early 1989 when the 155s were taken out of service for a few months and the Pompey-Bristol route was in the hands of whatever became available.:)

You are not incorrect.
