GWR are not in a position or not of “wanting” them. Porterbrook is not going to spend the money to keep them going and, at present, the DfT is not going to authorise their future use on their TOCs.

So, unless something dramatic happens, the Welsh sets are heading for the scrapyard.
Could the DfT block their export ( suggested on another thread this morning - albeit with a suggestion that it's TfW units involved https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...-now-just-class-15x-to-go.250144/post-7250805 ) on the grounds of their condition?

So I guess that's the end of the blue interiors on GWR then? Can't think what else would still have it.
