Is there any way to find out train headcodes? I just wish to add headcodes to my page on Sheffield-London services here.

(If anybody knows any it would be a help :))

I see some people have the codes on their fotopic pages and was just wondering where they get these from?

NXEc (and GNER before them) have them on their online timetable. IIRC either traveline or journeyplanner websites lists the headcode for any rail services it suggests.

Has 1B00 gone then? The one that was non-stop Chesterfield-London?

Yes 1B00 - The Master Cutler is no more. Now replaced by 1C20 but starts at Sheffield and calls at Chesterfield, Derby and Leicester. On another forum heard that this service was full and standing by Derby, even in first class.
The problem is that it is a Meridian and that two HSTs leave Sheffield 5 and 17 minutes after with nothing for 30 minutes before. I think some changes might be needed.

Also the following are missing from that list:
1F00 0620 - DBY-SHF (goes via Beigton)
1F01 0720 - DBY-SHF

1C86 2039 - SHF-STP
1C90 2321 - SHF-DBY (goes via Beigton)

They not use the 'A' code for London bound services? 'A' was a code for London terminals was it not, or was this for the GWML only?

It depends on area.

Virgin Trains use B for West Midlands to Euston and A for all other LM Region stuff - trains from Scotland are 1M.

Midland Mainline as long as I can remember has trains via Nottingham as 1Bxx and trains via Derby as 1Cxx - that includes what are technically interregionals from Leeds but which are booked with 1B or 1C headcodes.

Think Southern Region is 'A' for London - Fast 319s on the original connex express services from Brighton to Victoria were 1Axx headcodes
