Has anyone see any pictures or video? Be great to see the ploughs in action!
They will probably do what they did several years ago at both Buxton and the WCML.The Network Rail tweet suggests that they're only now starting to patrol the line, but surely they should have been sending the heavy stuff up and down all night? The snow has been forecast for days.
The minute a plough passes an area, the drifting snow would just cover the line again, it is/was over 2 ft above the rail head in placesThe Network Rail tweet suggests that they're only now starting to patrol the line, but surely they should have been sending the heavy stuff up and down all night? If you look at the Twitter thread, it was on its way and arrived at Perth about 20.00.Does anyone know why a full sized plough was not being used?
No doubt if the ploughs can't cope the snow blowers will get a trip out.If you look at the Twitter thread, it was on its way and arrived at Perth about 20.00.
