Hi

Hope this is right forum section to ask.

So...how I get to Chesham from city?

Last Friday I wanted to go to Chesham as it's the furthest station from London so I travelled to Harrow on the hill and waited for more than 45 mins. No tube for Chesham turn up..Gave up and went back to the city.

Thanks

There were severe delays on the Metropolitan line on Friday afternoon, so you may have just been unlucky.

TFL website is very confusing.

I work in Farringdon and finish at 4pm. I just checked TFL time and there is a direct tube to Chesham from Farringdon on the Metropolitan line..is that right?

Yes, during the day the through services to Aldgate are those going to/from Uxbridge, Amersham and Chesham. There are also a handful of peak extras on the Uxbridge service that only go to/from Baker St and conversely a handful of peak extras on the Watford service that run through to/from Aldgate.

Early mornings and late evenings sees some trains starting/terminating at Baker St, Wembley Park, Rickmansworth and also the service that goes via the North Curve from Watford.

There was a trespasser incident at Harrow at 1525 on Friday afternoon, services suspended until (16.25 Chiltern) 16.50.
The 16.12 Farringdon>Chesham was the train involved at Harrow SB.
No MET trains departed Farringdon NB from 1625-17.09, then were all Uxbridge.
An Amersham train was reformed into a Chesham at 17.05 HoH1.

That's explain why!

I finished work at 3.30pm last Friday, went on central line from Chancery Lane all the way to West Ruislip. Walked over to Ickenham ans got tube (metropolitan) to Harrow on the hill and waited for an hour for Chesham tube!

By the way I managed to get to Chesham from Farringdon. Long route but worth it!

Thanks
