Hull Trains 1st Class

Well, they give it loads of talk on their website the same as any other ToC, but is it worth purchasing a 1st Advance Single on a Sunday with HT (then having to get another ticket to get home) rather than getting one with EC to run straight though (about £10 more expensive)...

So, what could one expect on HT on a 1st class ticket on a weekend (and weekday for that matter, might use a weekday service at a later date) and what from EC on a weekend without trawling through the whole thread...

PS: Hull Paragon to Watford Junction...

Sunday on EC will be a cold sandwich (choice of 2 fillings), soft drinks, tea + coffee. buscuits, crisps, flapjacky thing. No idea about HT.

You'll get something quite similar, perhaps even one hot choice. They normally have some hot food at the weekend, just a slightly more limited selection than the week.

Think I'll hold onto my £20 and go to Greggs at Hull Interchange before I get on the train then

I got a nice chicken curry off Hull Trains last time I went down, but that was the last run on a friday night. Very nice but very very hot (as in steam coming off, not tastewise).
