Yesterday evening a bus had hit a bridge between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes, but I was impressed that most VTWC trains were only delayed through Berkhamsted by about 15 minutes.
Currently on the 11.00am from Euston, just been informed of a person hit by a train at Kings Langley.
We have just rolled into the station, so assuming it's somewhere just north of there.
1st train has gone past southbound on the slow line. Although not continuing.
Now we've just started moving
Further woes for the WCML further north, there's now been a person hit by a train at Stafford, as 1O16 11:27 Manchester Piccadilly - Bournemouth was running into platform 4.
It seems to have caused less disruption than I would have expected - trains were running through little more than half an hour after my last post.At least some Trent Valley trains can run via Colwich, Stoke and Alsager to Crewe.

It wasn't, according to the blow-by-blow account that's essentially been provided in one of the local pubs.Stafford, very sad, i hope it wasn't one of the many enthusiasts who frequent Stafford Station.
More WCML fun and games this evening - not one but two Euston to Glasgow services have terminated at Preston (1S95 and 9S97) no doubt leaving everyone to cram on to the last Euston Glasgow service of the day (1S06). Southbound is worse - last Glasgow Euston (1M19) is cancelled between Glasgow and Preston. Not sure how the passengers from Glasgow who were going to Euston on that train are going to get there tonight.
