Can anyone enlighten me on how busy the following services are;
11.55 Carlisle - Leeds
15.05 Leeds - Nottingham.
Also, are both diagrams currently served by a 158? I expect the Leeds Nottingham service will be a tad busier!
Thanks in advance!
158s are pretty common on both runs. The S&C can be other stock (150/158+153/155) but it's generally 158s iirc.
On the Nottingham run, I've seen 142s, 144s and 158s in platform 17 at Leeds. I think they usually try and keep it as a 158 though.
I believe the 142/144s you've seen in Platform 17 are most likely at the Wakefield end with a 158 at the buffers. If so, the Pacers would be going to Knottingley, with the 158 departing 10 minutes or so afterwards being the limited stop Sheffield/Nottingham train.
I've sometimes been confused myself when waiting for the Sheffield/Nottingham service, as amongst all the noise within Leeds City station, it is not always clear as which train is which, as both Knottingley and Nottingham sound phonetically similar.
In peace
Adam

I've found that too but I've noted that often the doors on the 158 to Nottingham aren't opened until the stopper via Castleford has gone.
